"Hi, the number on the powerhead for the JOHNSON 60 is C0600723 i have looked for a manual using this number but to no avail, however i can find a maual using the following number 60072 is this the number i need for the manual and it says that its a 1970 model."

Post a picture of your motor.

Post a picture of your motor. One with cover on and one with the cover off. That will make it elementary.

Are you saying that the ID plate isn't on the transom bracket?
