Johnson 6 tilt

I have an old 69 6hp johnson.A

I have an old 69 6hp johnson.And when i unlock the tilt and lift the engine it just simply falls back. Im not sure but i think that it probably should stay it the upper position.

Anybody have an solution to this problem.
