Anyone know what years the Johnson 48 SPL motors were made - was it 1987-92 - any help is appreciated

There are a few rough ways of narrowing it down.
The 48 was in production from 87 to 96.
The main difference is in the ignition system
89 they got one double coil and the UFI power pack (under fly wheel). In 94 they went back to the 'old' seperate power pack outside the fly wheel.
