Johnson 30TELCCE will start but will not run at full throttle

Purchased used Johnson 30 hp.

Purchased used Johnson 30 hp. Motor will start fine and idle but will not run as I try to increase throttle. When it does run at full throttle and then reduced to an idle the engine stops. What should I do to trouble shoot?

first thing check/clean/reset

first thing check/clean/reset or replace plugs.

But I think probably a dirty carb is your problem.
