I see I'm not the first to have problems with lower unit / jumping out of gear.
The first time it happened I thought I'd hit a wall!
I am happy to say that the rest of my 1978 25hp Seahorse runs great!

Anyway brought the motor in, and they say I need new gears...
Anyone know a good place to find reliable used parts / lower unit?
I'd like to do the work myself, and think it might be easier to find a complete lower unit, and just bolt it on. Are they easily available on the used market? used?
