Johnson 225 V6 1988 SLOW mode

Hi!

Previous owner had used motor with hint of water or not at all.....rectifier was melted and water pump housing was also melted. Replaced both and now charging and seein revs also. Very good! First test run and after few minutes driving long lasting peep and slow mode hits. Checked gasoline and filter was 1/2 filled with water so changed and maked sure that in tank was no water. Test run and same same, long peep. Taked vacuum switch wire off believing that detetcted VRO caused alarm...no no no. Only thing that comes to my mind is that temp switch has also being damaged from no water and heated over. I can hold my hand in both heads after running or when motor is on and idling in dock i can feel it is warm but not hot so water is circulating as it should.
Today i am goin to take off temp switch wire and do the test drive. Problem seems to be that in here Finland spare parts is very hard to find to that model and my question is that can they be replaced with some others or has somebody solved the problem with some other temp swithes and how??? Is there any kind of way to fix the old ones working correctly??

When the alarm sounds and SLOW is activated,is the motor hot at top of cly.heads?

Cylinder heads are warm not hot. Always can lay my hand on them, both sides.
I disconnect single brown and still alarm came and crippled motor. I did more inspection and noticed that two wires sensor was wire like white/black to tan and Tan wired to White/black.....i am not electrican but assumed that they might need to be other way and i changed them. Motor running like dream no peeps no nothing. Everything now is connected and test runned and no complains.
