Hi Everyone,
So replaced the waterpump on my 1999 Johnson 225.
On my last 3/8" LU bolt, it stripped and pulled out some threads with it.
The other 4 3/8" bolts are good, as is the 7/16" bolt, all torqued to spec.
For the stripped hole, hoping the threads ran deeper, I tried a 1/2" longer 3/8" stainless steel bolt and it torqued to spec. Do you all think that's sufficient, or should I drop the LU and redo with a heli-coil?
