"Almost impossible to get the Lower Unit back on after service. It is a 1990 SeaDrive (think Johnnyrude 225) Trouble seems to be the shift rod. For openers, when viewed from below, the bracket tube that it runs through sits about an inch or more forward of the opening in the bottom plate. Is this normal, or does this mean I have a lower engine mount issue? Also, is it possible to replace the lower shift tube seal without removing or disassembling the whole bracket? Thanks for your help!"
