johnson 2003 175hp cylinder comp.

Back when the quality of our gasoline first started to drop, also in the area when leaded gasoline became a thing of the past, the compression of many of our outboard engines was lowered to compensate. As a result for many years leading up to my retirement from the trade, the compression of the Evinrude/Johnson V6 outboards, direct from the factory was 95 psi on the starboard bank and 90 psi on the port bank. I would assume these readings would carry through to today.
