Johnson 1996 50hp Power Pack Wiring Colours

Hi All,
Just going through some electrical wiring checks, and I realise that a power pack I bought some years ago does not have the same wiring colours as detailed in my manual. The wires to the 5 pin connector includes a black wire, instead of the brown or brown/yellow as in the wiring diagram . The stator wires to the 5 pin connector are as in the manual; brown, brown/yellow, orange, orange/black. What should the black wire connect to at the 5-pin connector?

Just looked through my purchase . It's not a great brand. And it looks like there's been an error in manufacturing. Maybe logic will suggest I can match up and position the other wires from the stator, and the one remaining will have to match up with my erroneous black wire.
