I would appreciate any information that is out there. I have a johnson outboard engine - Part no: J90TLCIM motor (1981). We took the boat out of the water for a couple of weeks to carry out some repairs to the boat. When we were ready to put the boat back into the water, we had a problem with the tilt and trim. Trim cylinders are extended fully - tilt cylinder will now only extend and lift the motor but will not allow it to back into position. When we tried to power down, the engine moves down approx. half an inch, then stops. Pump motor will continue to run, but engine will not move.
I would be very thankful for anyone to give me some information on this problem.
