Johnson 150 OceanPro 2000 Cutting out after few seconds

Hello everyone
I apologize for the first post being a "cry for help" but I am at a loss.

I have 2000 150 HP Oceanpros V6 2 cycle. The boat was in storage for 1.5 years with engines used that time last.
A few days ago I attempted to start the engines which was not a problem at all, however, after a few seconds of stable RPM they drop and the engine cuts out. It does not start right after but only if I let it sit for about 1 minute. I then attempt to start them again and the same thing happens.
I tried to bypass the engine filter to see if maybe it was clogged but that did not help.

One of my theories is the fuel pump. However, I am not sure as to what maintenance I should perform or what troubleshooting to go through. I would appreciate any sort of help and guidance you can offer.

Thanks for reading.

They are actually 2001 models.------------If these were stored with fuel in the carburetors then you may need a thorough cleaning / inspection of the VRO pumps / carburetors and vapour seperators. ---Also look for water in carburetors.------Are both engines behaving the same from a single tank ???

Thank you for clarification of the year! Always thought they are 2000s. The boat was, indeed, stored with fuel in carburetors, wish I did not do that.
The engines are feeding from the same tank.
I will do everything you have outlined, thank you very much for your help.
I will try and clean the fuel system to the best of my ability.
Is there a certain way you recommend I should do that? I will of course research before I get started but was wondering if there is something/certain way you could recommend.

Again, thanks a lot for your help!

I wanted to thank you, racerone, for all your help. I was able to clean the engines and used new fuel. It was simply dirty.
I will be cleaning the tanks using a few techniques I found online and I think that should do the trick!
The marina wanted to charge me $700 to just begin the cleaning which was a little much I though for the word I was able to do my self with some help.

Again, thank you for your advice and time!
