"Hi and thanks for reading, During my spring check of my motor I've noticed some slight corrosion on only one plug and am wondering if some seawater may have been getting in the cylinder through the head gasket. I'm thinking of changing the head gaskets and see there are two types, the regular and the low compresion. Can anyone tell me the application for the low comp. gasket? Thanks in advance Tmon

"The normal head gasket is part #335360. I'm wondering why you would consider installing low compression gaskets.

Those low compression gaskets fall back to the period when leaded fuel was being phrased out and low compresdsion kits were being offred. The various V6 kits were part #379830 and ended with the year of 1985. Highly unlikely they are still available.

If your engine has been performing properly, and since it is a 1986 model, I'd suggest sticking with the regular head gaskets.

Thousands of parts in my remaining stock. Not able to list them all. Let me know what you need and I'll look it up for you. Visit my eBay store at:
