"Having running issues with our motor. It starts up after the primer ball is pumped, and runs for awhile, but we have come to the conslusion after pulling off the carbs and cleaning them, that we are having fuel pump issues. 400 bucks for a new one and 100 for a rebuild kit aint really cheap. So my father and I were thinking about installing an external low pressure fuel pump to solve our problem. Has anyone ever tried or run these? any thing would be a help now. Thanks"

What year 150 do you have ? I

What year 150 do you have ? I have a set of fuel pumps off of a 1988 200hp that i took off when i upgraded my powerheads with low hour 1990 model power heads if one will work on your application you are more than welcome to one. ( I believe they are the VRO-2 ) as they both have the wiring harness attached to them.

How do you determine the year

How do you determine the year model from the model or serial numbers?
Model # J150TLCCA
Serial # R7820S2

"J150TLCCA

J = Johnson
150

"J150TLCCA

J = Johnson
150 = Horsepower
T = PTT? (Really don't recall)
L = Long shaft
C = 8
C = 8
A = Factory run number

OMC's code is the word INTRODUCES whereas each letter stands for a number ie I=1, N=2, T=3, etc. The "CC" with in the model number stands for 88 (1988).

Thousands of parts in my remaining stock. Not able to list them all. Let me know what you need and I'll look it up for you. Visit my eBay store at:
