"I have a 1995 Johnson 150 (J150GLEOM), runs fine, but I was in sand and it took me about a half hour to get out. When I did, it was over-heating. I bought a new water pump, but when I took off the lower unit, I saw if had a lot of sand in it, as well as the "pee" hole on top of the engine was stuffed with sand. I flushed it from the bottom and from the top and put the old water pump back in. Nothing coming out of the pee hole. I put the new water pump in, twice, and still have no apparent pumping. Any suggestions that could get me back in the water? Thanks."
