can any of you halp me in my quest to find out about this engine
it is a johnson 115 v4 gt but people say that the bottom half is not a standard item
it has been suggested bt some on amother forum that it is a factory prepared race engine, given to those only who were racing and good at it
it has also been suggested that if it was given to race then it was prepared by johnson and the johnson race team to those succesful racers
in the pictures you will see various sections of the engine
what i am wanting to know is
1 is it a factory race engine (need confirmation)
2 on the outside it looks standard, but what internals would be different for racing
3 what is different on the lower half of the engine
4 were many made/were they succesful
5 if numbers of engine given can one find out the original owner
6 did they beat the mercury's which they were intended to do
will post more questions if this thread proves succesful
