Johnson 115 Ficht

I need some suggestions and information. I have a 115 Johnson motor. According to the plate that shows the model # and s/n#, it's a 1998 motor. My mechanic tells me it's at least a 2000 model. Anyone know where on the powerhead I can find the model number or something that will help me to determine the model year?

Also, I understand that there is a company in Orange Beach AL that inspects and repairs the computer from the old OMC motors. Anyone have any idea the name of the company or any contact info?

I really appreciate any help anyone can give with these two issues.

If it originally was a 98 it has hopefully been modified up to a 2000. Look for a aluminum 'dime' on top of stb cylinder bank. However model number should be stored in the ECM, but if that is busted, send it to:
