Hello all just got this motor vro housing was cracked so got a new pump of line new pump came with 4 wire plug when the old one was 3 wire now if I plan to mix my gas 50:1 and disconnect the oil line can this plug stay unhooked? Does this have anything to do with heat alarm? If not how do I test heat alarm? If it does I've heard there may be a kit for a contact sensor that goes somewhere near the head any info would be appreciated

The 438556 was the best option for a simple fuel pump.-----Mounts directly over the PRESSURE pulse port on intake manifold.

It only needs 2 ports !-----Mounts directly over the pressure port.----Just in front of the starter motor.----Elegantly simple.-----Remove pulse limiter and plug that port.----Re-arrange hoses.

If you are mixing at 50:1 you can leave the plug disconnected.----But you should still test the overheat warning horn.

Find the tan wire coming out of the cylinder head.----Slide the rubber boot back.-----Turn key to on.----Touch connecter to ( head bolt) or ground.-----Alarm should sound.

Post #4 says it is just in front of the starter.----You can easily see the 2 holes 10-24 NC to mount the pump with a gasket.-----And of course remove the plug that is in the pulse port.
