Mid 80's 90 HP is the pre

Mid 80's 90 HP is the present engine...late 80's 115HP...is the replacement one..

" Yes, you could switch the VRO over..... BUT check with a Evinrude/Johnson dealership to make sure that the 90hp VRO is compatable with the 115hp engine.

Note that "Mid" & "Late" really doesn't pinpoint anything. If the exact year isn't known, type in the model number of the engines. "
