" on my 84 v4 vro 115 , i just rebuilt the carbs got them back into tip top shape cleaned out all of the circuits with an air hose new everything . now my question , the engine has already been sitting about a month i dont want to have to do this again (carb rebuild) it was easy but still . is there any sort of preventive maintenence that i can do especailly if im not going to use the motor for a couple months . i dont want to fog it up because i will be using it just not that much so is there any kind of additive i can throw in there for the time being ??? i appreciate it thanks "

"Jeff.... Preventative maintenance in your case would simply be to run your engine using a flushette (ear muffs) on a hose (have that water on full blast), and run your engine at least every other week for about 15 minutes. Use varying rpms from time to time during this 15 minute period. This will keep the fuel mixture flowing through the carburetors and other areas of the fuel system and will prevent a situation of carburetor gumming/fouling, etc from reoccurring.

Keep a close watch on the flushette as they have been know to move off the water intake, and never walk away from your engine when it's running on a flushette.
