Can anyone tell me what the spark plug gap settings are for a 92 Johnson 175 FastStrike?

"In all probability, the manual would state that the gap setting should be .030 .

However..... since 1973 when the Capacitance Discharge Ignition system first came into existence, the gap setting reccommended by OMC was .040 which has worked quite well through the years.

I've found quite a few later model engines whereas the recommended gap was changed to .030 and a ignition miss of sorts existed. Finding absolutely nothing wrong with the engine, changing that gap to .040 eliminated the miss.

Whether you use the .030 or .040 setting will have to be your judgement call. Frankly, I'd set the gap to .040 .
