Jhonson 1951 qd-12 water pump

I have a water pump problem with my old 1951 qd-12 jhonson 10hp I was trying to take out the impeller when I take off the 4bolts at the bottom it dose not slide off how do I get to the water pump on this off I took most of what I could off
 
On the side of the exhaust housing is a little plate with two screws remove that plate and remove the upper bolt on the shift shaft coupler?


My my motor dose not have that plate the one that you had there was a few years newer

I don't know what you have taken apart, but the procedure is to first remove the exhaust tube. It is bolted to the bottom of the powerhead and a few screws/bolts at the bottom. Once that is off, remove the pin connecting the upper shift rod to the shifter. Loosen the locknut at the bottom end of the upper shift rod, and rotate the upper shift rod to unscrew it from the link. Now you can remove the gearcase assembly.
 
Thanks got it the wd 40 worked great. Do you know where to find the seals for the lower unit I got one part number 302-495 for the prop it's brass but I would like to find the shaft to

302495 is correct for the prop shaft seal. The drive shaft seal was 41A62, replaced by 307563, replaced by 321788. 302495 and 321788 are both available right here from our host marineengine.com Why go anywhere else?

Do they still sell the impeller I was looking but maybe not in the right spot
 
That's an easy one. Original part number 375638, changed to 775518. Used for 50 years or so. Get 'em here at marineengine.com
