J15RENM 1992 Johnson 15hp cuts out

I have a 1992 Johnson 15hp. It looks and runs great for about thirty mins, then the engine just cuts off and won't restart. It is circulating water good, and I replaced the fuel tank and hose, but it still cuts out.... like clockwork. When it stops, it sounds like it won't even fire. I was trying to take the flywheel off to check the ignition system, but I can't figure out how to get it off. Please help!

It all " looks good " --------so how are the wires from the kill switch and the kill switch itself.------------Tested any components under the flywheel ??-----------Confirmed that it is indeed spark issue ??

Thank you for the reply. The kill switch is bad, and is disconnected, so I have to kill it by idling it down, and pulling the choke. How would i go about testing the components under the flywheel? And the problem only occurs after the motor has been running for a while. At one time it seemed like it was overheated, because some of the rubber on the motor was melting, but the water was circulating good. And it doesn't put off any smoke so I didn't suspect a bad head gasket.

Check all wires for " burn through " and a possible ground to the block.--------------------------Put a timing light on it so that when problems occur you can determine whether it is spark or fuel related.--------------Trouble shooting and testing is what it takes.
