"I fould an old wood Sea King

"I fould an old wood Sea King boat I am looking at restoring. It has a Merc 500, 50 HP outboard motor.

It has Merc control throtle and shifter system.

The Serial number is 1675228. I am trying to find out how old the baot and/ or motor might be. Can anyone tell me where I can find out the date of production on the merc from the serial number? Also, any idea with the motor might be worth? I am trying to get an idea of how much to pay for the boat and motor.

That sounds better as i doubt that they marketed a " 500 " in 54.
