Is there a substitute float for the cork ones used back in the 50's?

My old Johnson 3hp brown/beige motor has run great for the last several years using ethenol but has been quitting on me lately. Could be dirt but I wonder what affect the fule has on the old cork floats. Can it be re-coated or is there a plastic sub that will work? Thanks.

The old cork float has been changed to a fuel-proof one made of Nitrophyl. It comes with an OEM carburetor kit, or if you order just the float you should get the new one.
