Is the fuel pump gone 1995 70 hp

"Morning everyone.
I have a 95 70 hp (one of two on a seacat)that runs great and starts easy everytime, but whenever I bring up the rpms, it won't go over 1500 on its own, and if I use both motors, it lags behind by about 1000 rpm. I assume that the lag is the other motor actually pushing them both along. The thing is, it stays running smoothly, just won't ramp up. I think it's the fuel pump, but it seems to work proper when I turn it over and crack the line. Is it possible that the pump is just tired and can't keep up at higher rpm? I don't know how similar boats and trucks are (outside of the whole floating on water thing
, but my chevy was doing the same thing untill I changed the fuel pump (200,00 miles, not bad). Any help, even if it's not fuel pump, lol, would be appreciated. Thanks."

Check the adjustment on the th

Check the adjustment on the throttle control rod.
Is your throttle lever going all the way forward and reverse?

Have you replaced your fuel filters?
As for fuel pump. the tend to either work or not at all. If you have a duel pump sometimes you will see a speed up slow down speed up slow down pattern
