Is it normal for when my boat

Is it normal for when my boat is in the driveway mcm470 alpha 1 od running on muffs it sputters very little water out of the port side about a third of what it sputters out of the starboard side exhaust i thought that maybe it was because my meffs only feed on one side so i flipped em over and put the water on the other side and still the same thing should they be the same or is something going on it will idle allday at 150deg but will get about 165/70 on a hard run

"water flow on an inline engin

"water flow on an inline engine is subjective to how the boat is sitting and which way it feels like flowing, you only have wated coming down the port side, flipping the muffs isn't going to do anything as there is only one feed hose to the engine and 1 impeller. What matters is water temp coming out, engine temp, and that there isn't any smoke. ( basically ) 165 on a hard run is fine too.. depends on boat load, # peeps, fuel, rough water etc, and what you call a hard run.

The exhaust shutter is in the tube below the exhaust riser, about where the lower boot clamp is, take a look at some online pictures."
