"I have a 40elptefi on a 17ft. bass tracker. At times when turning the key to on there is no beep,and when this happens, the engine will not crank. The power trim however will still work. Also, I can be under power on the lake and the engine will die. No stumble, no sputter, just like loosing fire. I can then cycle the key to off, then to on, and if the beeper sounds, will crank and run. Being three years old I suspect a corrosion or connection problem someplace. If this were a vehicle in my stall, I would suspect the ignition switch as G.M. has had issued with switches. Just lookin' for some info on where to start checking.
