Hi I have a mercury 40 hp 2002 lightning series my problem is the motor is running beautifully now but if I run it to go for a fish stop drop anchor. When I go to leave the ignition is dead the front tilt won’t work neither the tilt button on the motor. Everything else works depth sounder lights bilge pump etc.
after a tow home put it on trailer next morning everything working fine this happens again what’s my problem and how do I fix.
