I have a 88 Sunbird Corsair with a 2.3L OMC Cobra TKO motor. I have been battling an issue of the boat stalling after idling a few minutes (on the lake only) and not wanting to start but will when I get it home. At home If I shut it off it again wont start until I let it sit. I have fuel, good compression etc. so I installed a spark plug wire with a clear tube to see the strength of the spark and I have narrowed it down to an intermittent spark issue. I have changed the coil to a higher voltage one, tried a different alternator and bypassed the ESA with no change. Today I ran it at home for a few minutes and shut it down then tried to restart it... sometimes there is a bright red spark and it will start for 10 seconds and lose spark and stall, try to start it again no spark...try again red hot spark as soon as it turns over it loses spark. I am at a loss! Any suggestions??
