Interchangeability

Will a DPX intermediate housing work with a SP-A drive? I'd like to use one to incorporate my external hydraulic steering.

Your SP-A drive is part of the AQ series family. These are a 3 pc drive..... transmission, Intermediate housing, and lower unit.... all using main suspension fork/pivot tube geometry.

While the DP-X still uses the much better main suspension fork/pivot tube geometry, it is not a 3 pc drive.

Short answer....NO!

Murfman, I wish that I could tell you for certain.
While both use main suspension fork/pivot tube geometry, I've not attempted to swap any parts between the standard AQ series and this series drive.


Perhaps pull each apart and compare components and bolt patterns.
