"Just registered and first of many to come post I am sure! I have a '62 Dorsett Catalina with a rare Volvo Penta I/O. AQ-100 seems to be the outdrive. I would like to up grade the 80hp? single carb Volvo and install something more up to date or more HP. What will fit infront of the Volvo Penta, if I have to change motor and out drive which more up to date out drive and motor would fit the best considering the opening in transom and the lenght of the motor. "With out seeing the engine compatment I can't say what will fit. Look for a transom plate kit from merc or volvo, both have them, to adapt to a more modern drive system. After you install the kit you can go with Vp, Merc or OMC."
