inter-changeable parts

could anyone tell me if the parts associated with reverse gear in a force 125 outboard are inter-changeable with those from a force 90 ? thanks

Different ratio?Count the teeth.J

thanks for the reply...have'nt yet pulled them apart. My 125 lost reverse and I have a another lower unit off of a force 90. was trying to get an idea if the parts would be inter-changeable or would it be a waste of time...was told my problem with the 125 could be the shift dog or clutch???

You sure it's not the linkage? It might just need adjusting.J

Had the linkage adjusted to favor reverse and it continue to jump out of reverse..

Jumping out is more like the clutch dog and not the gear.
Take it out and look at the edges of the dog.Needs to be squared off no rounding.J
