intake manifold question

We are trying to finish our 318 LM project. I have an intake manifold that I bought and we are finding as you look in the holes (for the carb) that in the bottom are 2 holes. 1 is a 3/4 inch threaded hole the other is about the size of a pencil (unthreaded). Do any of you know what those holes are for? Should we put a plug in the threaded one?

Leave them be and all will be fine. I believe they are there for an automotive function (EGR) that isn't used in marine applications.
