Intake manifold 1986 4.3.

Hi Guys,

I am planning on changing my manifolds on my 1986 4.3 over the winter. Had clogging problems and changed the risers this year. When I winterized last season noticed light rust particles in the intake manifold at the thermostat cavity. Should I consider changing the intake manifold too, just to be safe? Thanks for all help given.
I have owned this boat for three years and doing a little each season to try to improve it.

light rust particles? A new manifold would look like that after 1 week.

Thanks hystat, just want be be sure this is a normal thing .And that they will not clog the cooling system. I have toasted three exhaust boots trying just to clean out the old risers. Finally just bought two new ones.
