Installing Pistons on a Nissan 90

How do you install the Pistons on a Nissan 90A? The manual kinda hints that you just guide the piston into the correct hole and lower the crankshaft and I have never installed any in that manner, of course this is my first Nissan project. Being you cannot detach the rods, it appears that is the only way to accomplish the task but I don't want to break the new rings so I want to be sure.

That's correct. Prep the bores as usual, and install the rings on the pistons. Then they go in from the crank side.

THANKS Paul. I just needed to be sure, the installation was the easiest I have ever done. Makes me think that years ago I could have installed the pistons on the old Mercury inline six motors the same way instead of installing each piston then the crank!!
