Hello and greetings to all on this Forum, apologies if this subject has been covered before.
The ECU on a Evirude 1999 FICHT E225FPLEEO motor burnt out after the lower unit hit a lump of wood in the sea, we can clearly see the damage through the silicone that on the rear of the unit.
I am curious, if we purchase the exact same part # 0586447 - ECU, do we need to use Evinrude Software in order to get the motor running again?
The existing unit has a sticker on that warns about switching ECU units etc.
