Installing an exhaust elbow

" I have a 26ft boat with a mufler installed, but i would like to quiet it down even more at idle and troling speed.
I have noticed that on some shamrock boats they are using a rubber elbow where the exhaust comes out of the transom puting the exhaust under water. I would like coments on this set-up. "

A little more back pressure a

A little more back pressure at idle. Moch quieter. Personally don't like the looks.
