Inner transom problems with older 120

"IM replacing the 470 in my 86

"IM replacing the 470 in my 86 rinker, and im down to the transom plate. The flywheel cover on the 1973 120 motor has a wider bole pattern,at the rear mount and will not bolt down to the 1986 rinker (alpha) transom plate. Will I be able to find a flywheel cover from a newer 120, 140 or 165 to fit my motor? The 470 flywheel cover doesnt work eather, starter on wrong side.....Ray"

"Yes, I do. also probably everything that I would need to mount my gear shift cables. The 120 that I have, had them mounted on the old transom plate...Any ideas where I might pick the parts up? Ray"
