Inboard Carberaters

a MARINE carb has no vaccum ports, models like holley, the bowl vent tubes are bent 180 degrees so the fumes get sucked into the carb not dissaipated into the boat.

Never us a automotive on a boat!!!

marine carbs on motors that have a mechanical fuel pump has a return line to the carb if the rubber ever ruptures the fuel does not dump into the bilge. Bad thing fuel in the bilge it can go boom and blow me up if my boat is near yours.

Thats a bad thing. On a auto the carb will dump on the pavement.

But then again they don't put carbs on autos anymore. And mechanical fuel pumps are a thing of the past with autos.

Some people have resorted to putting electric fuel pumps on there marine motors closing off the boss with a plate where the mech. fuel pump was.

That way no return line. But then some get sneaky and put all kinds of carbs on marine motors.

Stick to marine, they are set up to run at all kinds of angles that auto carbs are not set up to run at.
