I replaced the motor last year, 5.4l omc. Old 1968 Alglas by travel star positive displacement hull, at 5500rpms it move thru the water at approx. 15-19knots.

I checked the sleeve at the strut and the prop and they are fine.

After changing motor I never did a coupling alignment."

Could be. That's kind of slow for such a high rpm. Are you sure the tach/ speedo is right?
