Impeller

Model #-----It does not mean lots of usage at all.-------Depend on the water the motor sits in.-----Some water deposits wee bits by the millions onto stainless parts and that jams it up.----Nature works that way.----Sorta like scale in a kettle !
 
I believe it was an '81 7.5 Johnson. Like racerone says junk/corrosion gets between the impeller hub (brass) and the D/S stainless steel & dowel pin. Jams things up. You may have to cut the impeller off. Not too hard, but try to cut where the dowel pin is not at? Look it over good. You have a good shot at not hitting it.

I may have my post confused! Never mind on model number, but idea is the same. Sorry.
