I drill a hole in the right spot and spray P. Blaster in there. Let it stand upside down a couple days, respraying once or twice more. After that I have some plastic and hardwood wedges to tap in. If it doesnt go right away, then leave the wedge pressure on, turn it right side up, while on the motor stand, put something below to catch the lower unit.....because it will drop when I whack the flywheel nut.......just right.......with a nice piece of white oak. I cut some threads in the 5/16" hole I had drilled, then put in a set screw or short 3/8 bolt......stainless. Assemble cleaned up shaft/crank with anti seize and a new o-ring if applicable. Anti seize will way out perform any grease the factory used. Remember who told you about drilling the hole.......why do I give out my secrets? I'm getting old, got lotta tricks. Somebody gotta help Mr.Reeves.....he's getting older than me.
