"Hello all, should i change the whole water pump set up or just the impeller? would like to save a few bucks but not at the expense of gasgets, corrodid plate etc..etc.. is it that much more work to do the whole water pump set up?

"Thanks, is their anything tricky about putting in a new pump kit? i've heard the hardest part is lining up the splines onto the drive shaft, is that a two person job??"

"2 people is easier especially

"2 people is easier especially if it is your first time doing it, one can lift the lower unit back on and the other can feed it up and bolt it on. When putting in the new impeller, make sure you only turn the shaft clockwise. you don't want the splines on the impeller going the wrong way."
