I need to replace an ignition switch on my boat. It has a 1966 40HP Evinrude O/B Mod# 40652 B. The boat had a 6 wire ignition switch. The elec. choke is not functional and I will be just manually flipping the choke (like the previous owner has done for years) to start it up. I have no intentions of running any other accessories via the switch so do I need a 6 wire ignition switch? I really don't even know why there are six wires leading to the switch. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
