Ignition help!!

Can someone please tell me a way to figure out if my stator, trigger or switch box is bad. I don't have a dva tester or access to one. Just a normal ohm tester is all I have. Think I have it narrowed down to one of the three but don't want to just start ordering parts.

It's a 93 115 hp. Serial od261426

Ok I have switched the blue with blue/white and red with red/white and after doing so it fired on 1 and 3. Before it only fired on 1&2. Any ideas?
