Ignition help!?!? 95 Mariner 115

[Paul 190WA]

Swapped motor onto new boat.. motor will not crank??

1. Using same key switch
2. Using same control box
3. Power trim will work from motor but not remote.. Will work with key off or on. Previously only worked in ON position
4. Buzzer will sound in ON position

Have compared to every wiring diagram I can find

Do a voltage drop test. Start at battery. Should have 12v. Next goto starter solenoid should have battery voltage on battery side of solenoid. Then check voltage at feed wire (yellow/ red) put ignition to start read voltage. Should be 12 or 11 v. If you have battery voltage at feed wire. And solenoid doesn't engage. You either have a bad ground to engine or a bad solenoid

Did you use.the.same wiring harness?

No. I'm using the harness that was already in the boat. Same wiring on both harnesses tho
