I just had the power head rebu

I just had the power head rebuilt on my 75HP Mariner 4cyl engine and I am have problems getting it to idle down to a reasonable reading and still run. Ir is reading 1200 in nutural and droping to 900 when engaged. I believe it should be lower. Whst can effect the idle in a rebuilt engine and what are the possible corrections to my problem?

"each carb has a idle mixture setting, then they are linked together and a idle speed setting is adjusted for the right idle in gear. Start with a warm engine, adjust speed as slow as it will go, then adjust mixture. Running the mixture to lean will make the engine slow to accelerate. To rich and it won't idle. Carbs must be clean.

You put back the block restric

You put back the block restrictors? Rebuilders are known for leaving them out. Ign. is on all four?
