"If a 60 degree OIS, it is none!
You have to adjust with the 'LOW' tab on the bracket for the optical sensor on top of the fly wheel. Be sure not to rub the HIGH adjustment."

"Thank you Morton I found it, I have never seen a idle adjustment like it. so I just loosen the screw and turn the low speed idle toward the plus to raise idle right? Also aprox were is the high speed tab next to it suppose to be right now it is one notch toward minus. Also what is the high speed one for. Thanks very very much for your help.

"Richard -
I also have the OIS system and I'm not sure that there is a general rule of thumb for the settings. I'm not even 100% sure what the "tabs" even adjust - I believe timing advance/retard though. The service manual states hooking up the optical sensor reader and moving the idle tab till the light goes off and then adjusting the high speed tab until the light goes off and then your timing will be correct. I bought the tool b/c I figure for the cost of taking it to a dealer, I could just have it myself and never need their service! (Luckily found a good used one b/c it's pricey). Are you in NE FL??

PS - Noticed a nice difference in mine once properly adjusted. It wouldn't idle worth crap in gear - almost instant stall. It is a lil too low still - I think I have to set timing wheel to 6* and adjust from there (at 4* now) and I think that will fix it. Am I right Mort? Or should I just notch one more on the "+" side for idle tab?"

"These engines are not differe

"These engines are not different than the 'old' ones when it comes to idle adjustment. On the old ones, you mainly adjusted the timing advance by moving the trigger/sensor coil, here you move the optical sensor which is equivalent. Just be sure that your carbs are completely closed!
Moving to -, means you are reducing timing advance at idle. In 80% of cases the factory setting works out, but depending on mainly water level on the leg (exhaust back pressure)it might be needed to adjust.
Move it 1 'notch' at the time until you are where you want to be.
Personally I always did a de-carb (Sea Foam/Engine Tuner) on the engine before adjusting anything."

Thanks Andrew and Morton will

Thanks Andrew and Morton will follow your advice I see the part you are talking about but I thought that adjusted the Idle not the timming now I understand.
Thanks Richard
