Identifying wires and part, Need Help please

Recently got my dad’s old bass boat. It has a 90 or 91 Suzuki Dt115 on it. He said the last time it was used my uncle did something and some wires caught on fire. I’m Seeing if it’s something I can fix on my own but I’m having trouble identifying what the part and wires are in order to do more research. If anyone could help me that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Check out selffixer.com, they have pdfs of service manuals for older Suzuki engines for $10. If you can find a service manual for your engine there should be a wiring diagram within. I have purchased a service manual from them and no issues with unauthorized charges on my Visa.
